What is a prayer?

Something brought forth,
shared because it moved someone.
The most meaningful prayers
are often the result of
great contemplation
and rocket through those within earshot,
leaving us to glean some meaning
on an issue of importance.
The same can be said of art.

Prayer is an art
prayer can cause one’s heart to sing
prayer can be a promise
prayer often leaves one with the knowing
there is work to be done
all over this planet.

Art can be a prayer.
