I call these The Thinking Caps.  They’re top hats with mixed media.  Each one has a hidden light component, for instance The Swan’s eyeball glows and The Ostrich has lights hidden in the skull netting.  I wanted to create some wearable art out for those who like to look stylish when they venture behind the veil.

Myths associate birds with creation, the arrival of life or death, divine messages and flights of the soul. The Thinking Caps are designed for the modern-day shaman and should be used for ceremonial seeking beyond… or simply for loads of attention at the grocery store.
